RYT inspires, nurtures, and cultivates the creativity & stories of Riverland young people.

MISSION

Established in1985 Riverland Youth Theatre continues to expand on its proud history as South Australia’s premier regional youth arts organisation, by providing young people with opportunities to develop their creative expression and performance and technical skills in the context of their own community and culture, while aligning its objectives with Government youth arts policies.

What does RYT do?
Since the organisation’s beginning participants have experienced a vast array of projects and workshops including theatre, dance, movement, physical theatre, multi media, writing, devising and music while at the same time having access to training in these areas and other areas of performing art.

RYT’s programs divide into four broad areas of activity

1.    Community Arts Development projects including the development of new work

2.    Artist Training and Development

3.    After School Workshop Program

4.    In-School and Community Workshops & Partnerships

Other programs are organised to respond to the needs of different groups, for example school holiday programs or one-off activities.
