RY is ON THE ROAD

COMING TO A TOWN NEAR YOU

RYT is On the Road

With ongoing waiting lists for RYT’s Drama and Dance workshops in Renmark new opportunities are opening up for young people to strut their stuff and get creative a little closer to home.

In term two RYT offered it’s first On the Road’ workshop of the year in LOXTON. It was so successful that it is running again in term three in Loxton led by Loxton North resident and RYT tutor Claire Dalzell for ages 9–13 yrs over 8 weeks.

But wait there’s more!  ‘On the Road’ will also be offered in BARMERA for the first time in term three.  Also designed for ages 9-13 the Barmera based workshops will be led by Kingston-on-Murray resident Miriam Lyon.  Miriam has recently moved to the Riverland from Adelaide and brings with her a wealth of experience in the performing arts and working with young people.

RYT and the Riverland is lucky to have such talented and enthusiastic tutors to work with our participants, developing skills, getting creative, building confidence and having fun.

Julie Waddington, Artistic Director

RYT is committed to making its programs accessible to young people in the Riverland, running a free bus from/to Berri for several workshops and initiating the ‘On the Road’ program. In 2008 RYT secured additional drought relief funding from the Country Women’s Association and the South Australian Youth Arts Board allowing drama workshops to be heavily subsidised and providing several scholarship places in workshops each term.

In Renmark After School Workshops in Drama and Dance will continue for ages 5-12 with available places being filled from the waiting list. Expressions of interest for the waiting list for term three and four are still open.

For more information call RYT on 8586 3437.
