YELP for creative business skills

YOUTH ENTREPRENEURIAL LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

Riverland Youth Theatre is managing a Youth Entrepreneurial Leadership Program with an arts focus for regional and rural youth aged 17-26. There are limited places available and applications for the free program opens from February 25th and closes on March 18th.

The program provides an opportunity for young people to develop business skills towards their creative ideas.

Whether you’re interested in band management, graphic design, web design, photography, starting a fashion label or making unique handcrafts, you will find entrepreneurial leadership skills incredibly useful says Julie Waddington, Artistic Director of Riverland Youth Theatre.

Held for six days over three months, the YELP program will deliver a wide range of business skills and information on things such as leadership, communication, networking, business development, marketing & finance.

The program is designed and facilitated by coup de theatre, the State Theatre Company of South Australia’s corporate and community training arm.

Julie Waddington further adds that

RYT is really excited for the opportunity to manage this program which will provide young people with new & wide ranging skills, inspiration, and will help to focus their creative business ideas.

The program is an initiative of the Government of South Australia as part of the South Australia Works in the Regions program and supported by the Sturt Area Consultative Committee.
