Term Four: TBC
Riverland tutors lead workshops in improvisation, movement, voice, storytelling, circus, mime, text and contemporary choreography. A short performance showcase is presented at the end of the semester for family and friends. A free bus service from Berri to Renmark return assists with access to some workshops. Scholarships are available providing full financial support for an eight week term.
Term Three Workshops for 2010
PLEASE NOTE: Workshops across the age ranges 5-26 will be offered in Waikerie for the first time this term.
· Workshops scheduled on public holidays DO go ahead as planned unless otherwise notified
· The bus will run to/from Berri for Actors Studio workshops. Participants MUST contact the RYT office to book their place on the bus
Art Play 5 - 8 yrs Loxton (Thurs 4-5pm) Renmark (Tues 4.15-5.15pm) Waikerie (Wed 4-5pm) $70 per term
Drama games, improvisation, movement, song and storytelling are explored through fun creative play activities designed to stimulate imagination, confidence and self expression. At Drama Studio children will make new friends and learn how to be focused, creative individuals whilst developing as supportive team players.
Dance Studio 5 - 8 yrs Loxton (Thurs 5.15-6.15pm) Renmark (Wed 4-5pm) $70 per term
Fun dance games and exercises to develop movement skills towards a short choreographed group performance.
Dance Now 9 – 12 yrs Loxton (Thurs 6.30-7.30pm) Renmark (Wed 5.15-6.15pm) $70 per term
Develop your dance skills and work with likeminded new friends to create energy filled dance performances using jazz and contemporary choreography.
Circus Boots 9 - 14 yrs Loxton (Fri 4-6pm) Renmark (Mon 4.30-6.30pm) Waikerie (Thurs 4-6pm) $95 per term
Get a taste of the Big Top and street performance by learning circus and clowning skills and use these to create a vibrant and colourful new performance about walking in different shoes. Circus Boots is a great introduction to theatre and performance and encourages creative thinking and expression.
Actors Studio 13 - 26 yrs Renmark (Tues 5.30-7.30pm) Waikerie (Thurs 6-8pm) $95 per term
Actors Studio will explore techniques for using the body and voice in performance through collaboration and creative risk-taking. Develop skills in movement, improvisation, and script work in a fun and supportive environment. No previous experience is required—just a desire to be creative and express your thoughts and ideas through performance.
